Consignment stock is provided to selected facilities so that there is a ready supply of frequently prescribed equipment available. When equipment is provided to a patient, the details are sent to Able Living so that the patient can be invoiced directly. This process is intended to be simple and efficient for clinicians and patients while avoiding delays caused by typical ordering processes.
Unfortunately, rising product and administration costs as well as the high number of sales not reported to Able Living threaten the viability of this service.
